Who owns Monroe County? Thousands of people have a piece of it, and they are listed in the new plat book published by the Monroe County 4-H Committee with Mapping Solutions. The 2018 book, which replaces the 2015 edition, is available for purchase at the Monroe County OSU Extension Office. The cost of the book is $25 with shipping available for an additional $2.68 per book.

This 72-page spiral-bound book features township and range maps of Monroe County. These maps include the property boundaries for all rural parcels within the township, the name of the owner and the number of acres owned. Also, there is a handy landowner index for easy cross referencing.

There are also Premium Wall Maps available for purchase so please stop by the office if you are interested in one of the maps.

This information is valuable to anyone with a need to know who owns land in Monroe County. Prospective or adjoining property owners, hunters, foresters, timber and petroleum industry personnel, emergency services and many others would be interested in having a copy.

There are two digital versions of the plat book as well. A SmartMap allows you to view your location on the map on a smartphone and track real-time movement with the device GPS. You can measure distances and areas as well as add points of interest, photos, position and label names to the map and much more. An eBook is also available for your tablet, laptop or PC.
